Independent digital asset investigation

Bitcoin Scam Investigation & Digital Asset Tracing

Get professional assistance investigating cryptocurrency fraud, tracing blockchain transactions, and preparing documented findings to support appropriate recovery and law enforcement processes.

Recovery is never guaranteed. We cannot identify wallet owners, freeze funds or seize assets — and we never ask for seed phrases, private keys or wallet access.

Understanding bitcoin scams and lost cryptocurrency

Before deciding whether an investigation is worth your money, it helps to know what the blockchain can and cannot tell anyone.

01

A transaction cannot be undone

Bitcoin has no chargeback, no reversal desk and no central authority to appeal to. Once a payment confirms, the only thing that changes anything is evidence that reaches someone with the power to act on it.

02

The ledger is public. The people are not.

Every transaction is visible forever, but addresses carry no names. What an investigation can do is show how funds moved and where they touched a service — not who was holding the wallet.

03

Most losses follow a pattern

Fake platforms, romance approaches, wallet drainers and ransom demands each produce a recognisable sequence of payments. Recognising the pattern is where a structured investigation begins.

This is why we describe our work as investigation and documentation. We establish and record facts; we do not promise that funds will be returned, and any service that does is misrepresenting what a blockchain investigation can achieve.

Method

How blockchain transaction tracing works

Tracing is a documented reading of public ledger data — not a search for a hidden switch that returns money.

  1. 1

    Collect the starting points

Public wallet addresses, transaction hashes and dates establish where the funds left your control. If you have none, the incident description and screenshots become the starting point.

  2. 2

    Map each movement

Every output of every transaction is recorded as it leaves your address, so the flow is built from the ledger rather than from a summary.

  3. 3

    Follow consolidation

Fraud wallets pool funds from many victims. Tracing shows when your money joined a shared wallet, and what left it afterwards.

  4. 4

    Identify service touchpoints

Where funds reach an address publicly attributed to an exchange or payment processor, that becomes a documented point a compliance team can review.

  5. 5

    Package the evidence

The route, the hashes and the reasoning are written into a report, with the limits of the tracing stated alongside the findings.

A traced flow is a diagram of what the ledger shows — not proof of who was behind an address.

What the trace will not show

Ownership of a wallet, intent behind a payment, or a route through mixing services that is guaranteed to be correct. Where those limits apply to your case, the report says so.

Fraud patterns

Common types of cryptocurrency fraud

Different schemes leave different traces. Identifying which one you are dealing with decides what can usefully be investigated.

Fake investment platforms

Slick dashboards showing invented returns, with a deposit address and a withdrawal button that never pays.

Romance and “pig-butchering” schemes

A relationship built over weeks, then an introduction to an “opportunity” that only accepts crypto.

Phishing and wallet drainers

Approval requests, cloned wallet sites and seed-phrase prompts that empty a wallet in one transaction.

Fake exchanges and Ponzi schemes

Unregulated platforms that block withdrawals, then demand tax or verification payments to release funds.

Rug pulls and token fraud

Liquidity removed from a token after deposits, leaving holders with an asset nobody will buy.

Ransomware and extortion

Bitcoin demanded under a deadline for decryption, account restoration or to prevent a disclosure.

Process

Our step-by-step investigation process

Every case follows the same five stages, so you always know where yours stands and what happens next.

  1. STEP 01

    Free case review

You submit the incident with whatever addresses, hashes and documents you hold. We read it and tell you whether an investigation has a basis — no charge, no obligation.

  2. STEP 02

    Scope agreed in writing

If the case is worth pursuing, the work, the deliverable and the fee are set out before anything begins. Nothing is implied or left open.

  3. STEP 03

    Investigation and tracing

We work the transaction data, record each finding as it is established, and update your dashboard as the case moves.

  4. STEP 04

    Report assembly

Findings become a written report: a dated chronology, transaction tables with hashes, method notes and a plain-language summary.

  5. STEP 05

    Referral guidance

You receive direction on where the report can be submitted, what each channel expects, and how to present it without overstating the findings.

Why work with us

Why choose Darek Crypto Recovery

An investigation is a professional service, and it should be bought the way one is: defined, documented and honest about its limits.

Bitcoin-specific method

BTC cases are traced output by output through the UTXO model, not treated as a generic wallet lookup. Splits, consolidation and peeling chains are followed as they appear.

Written scope before any fee

The work, the deliverable and the cost are agreed in writing first. If the evidence does not support an investigation, we say so and do not take the case.

One private case file

Your reference, status, updates, documents and reports live in a dashboard only you and the case team can open. Files are stored privately and opened through short-lived links.

Findings you can check

Every statement in a report is tied to a transaction hash, a screenshot or a document. A reviewer can verify the work instead of trusting a summary.

Limits stated up front

Where a trail breaks — through a mixer, an unidentified service or missing records — the report says so. We do not fill gaps to make a case read better.

No wallet access, ever

We work from public addresses only. No seed phrase, private key, password or remote-access session is requested at any stage of any service.

Trust and transparency

What we do, and what we will not pretend to be

Tracing cryptocurrency does not guarantee recovery. There is no technical route by which an investigator reverses a transaction, and any claim otherwise is the first warning sign of a second scam.

Limitations of cryptocurrency investigations

  • No government affiliation and no law-enforcement status
  • No regulatory licence claimed, and no legal services offered
  • No partnership or tool-vendor relationship presented as a credential
  • No testimonial, recovery figure or success rate published without evidence

Investigation methodology

Cases follow a fixed sequence: intake, scope, tracing, documentation, referral guidance. Each stage is recorded in the case file with dates, so the work can be reviewed after the fact.

Blockchain analysis and documentation

Findings are drawn from public ledger data and the material you supply. Method notes describe how each conclusion was reached, and the transaction identifiers are included so it can be verified.

Privacy and confidentiality

Your identity, loss figure and documents are visible only to your account and the case team. Nothing is published, and files are never exposed through a permanent public link.

Cooperation with authorities

We prepare material that a police unit, regulator or exchange compliance team can work through, and explain how to submit it. We do not act as your representative and have no authority of our own.
